Disclosure of personal information

J E Beale PLC does not currently supply any other personal information to third parties unless required to do so as part of our fraud prevention policies or our required compliance with the selling of age restricted products.

J E Beale PLC may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

J E Beale PLC occasionally employs third parties that collect personal information on J E Beale PLC's behalf. In such cases, such third parties will be instructed by J E Beale PLC to comply with the J E Beale PLC Privacy Policy as set forth herein.

It is, on occasion, necessary for Beales to perform standard identity checks with a Credit Reference Agency/Fraud Prevention Agency, to make sure that your card isn’t being used without your consent, or to confirm you age for the purchase of age restricted items such as knives.

The Credit Reference Agency may keep a record of the information; that is, a footprint may be left on the persons credit file. The footprint will indicate that a search has been undertaken for purposes other than a credit application and that the search has no impact on the person’s credit rating.

J E Beale PLC does not have access to any sensitive information or retain customer details from any checks performed, or pass results to any third parties.

If for any reason you are concerned that the personal information maintained by J E Beale PLC is not correct, or it changes or if you no longer desire our service we will correct, update or remove the data you have provided. This can usually be done by e-mailing us at headoffice@beales.co.uk or contacting our Customer Services team on 01202 405200
