Welcome to Beales Love Rewards
Thank you for choosing to become a member of the Beales Love Rewards scheme ("Love Rewards"). Being a member of Love Rewards enables you to earn points on certain purchases in participating departments of our stores.
These terms and conditions govern the relationship between J E Beale plc (a company registered in England under company number 120002 with a registered office at 36 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, BH1 1LJ) ("we" or "us") and you in relation to your membership of Love Rewards and any participation by you is considered as acceptance of these terms and conditions. Additional terms and conditions may be put in place for seasonal or special offers.
These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials, or any statements on your Love Rewards card. The terms and conditions are up-to-date as at 3rd May 2015.

1.0 APPLICATION FOR BEALES LOVE REWARDS
Applications will only be accepted from customers who are aged 16 years or over and resident in the UK. To apply collect an application form from till points in-store. Then hand the completed form to a member of staff. Application is free of charge. We reserve the right to refuse any application for membership of Love Rewards. Members are only allowed one Love Rewards account each. We reserve the right to refuse, merge or close additional accounts at any time.
1.1 CHANGES IN PERSONAL DETAILS
If you move address, please contact our Love Rewards Helpline (details above) where we will update your details. Please quote your membership number, name and postcode to help us to find your details. Alternatively, visit www.bealesrewards.co.uk and update your details online. If you change your name, please send written confirmation to us at Beales Love Rewards, Customer Administration Department, DMB Group Limited, Suite 1, Crossgates House, Station Road, Leeds, LS15 8EU.
1.2 OWNERSHIP OF THE CARD
The membership card for Love Rewards is issued by us and remains our property. Your card is evidence of your membership of Love Rewards and you may be required to produce this in certain circumstances. The card is at your risk once you receive it from us.
1.3 CARD USAGE
You may not transfer any of your rights or points earned as part of Love Rewards. Love Rewards is for personal use only . The Love Rewards card is not a credit card, cheque guarantee card, debit card or a savings account card. Points have no cash value and can only be used as set out in these terms and conditions. However, you should treat your Love Rewards card like cash in your purse or wallet. If you lose your card or it is stolen, you may lose any points you have earned and not yet redeemed in the same way as if you lost or had cash stolen.
1.4 MANAGING YOUR ACCOUNT ONLINE
You can set up an online account by visiting www.bealesrewards.co.uk. Verify your details as requested, then enter a username and password to be used for future access. You can then check your points online at any time. Up-to-date points will be made available a week after the relevant transaction. Cumulative points earned will not be shown on till receipts and may only be checked online or at a participating store.
2.0 EARNING POINTS
To earn points, you must present your card at the time of transaction at a participating store. There is a minimum spend of £1 per transaction before points can be earned.
2.1 REGISTERING POINTS FOR PREVIOUS PURCHASES
To earn points, you must present your card at the beginning of a transaction at a participating Beales store. Missed points cannot be added after the transaction has been finalised. It is the responsibility of the member to present their card at the time of the transaction.
2.2 BUSINESSES, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES EXCLUDED FROM LOVE REWARDS
There are a number of exclusions to the transactions and products on which you earn points, and these are listed in Appendix 1 at the end of these terms and conditions. Please read these exclusions carefully.
2.3 EARNING POINTS THROUGH REWARDS EVENTS
There may be times when you can also earn points for taking part in certain Love Rewards events and offers run by our partners or us. This is at our discretion, and if you have opted-in to receive such communications, you will be notified of these opportunities at the time of publication of the activity. Points earned from these events and offers will not be applied to your Love Rewards account until the particular event or offer has finished.
2.4 REFUND OR RETURN OF GOODS
If you purchase goods from us and return them at a later date for a refund, we will remove/amend any points you have earned from your card.
3.0 PAYMENT CALCULATION
To earn points, you must present your card at the time of a transaction at a participating store.
• 2 points are awarded for every £1 spent if spending over £30.
• 1 point is awarded for every £1 spent up to £29.99. Each point earned is valued at 1p. We reserve the right to either increase or decrease the number of points accrued on qualifying purchases, or to change how points are accrued, from time to time at our discretion. We will notify you of any changes we make by updating the terms on our website www.bealesrewards.co.uk.
We may set limits on the number of points that can be earned in relation to particular promotional offers in which additional points are offered. We may also provide additional or different promotional offers to members with particular spend categories or levels of accumulated points.
4.0 RECEIVING YOUR PAYMENT
The Love Rewards vouchers are awarded twice a year, in Spring and Autumn. We will only pay your Love Rewards vouchers if the value of the points you have earned is greater than the minimum limit for payment (currently £1 as at May 2017).
5.0 SPENDING LOVE REWARDS VOUCHERS
Vouchers can be spent at any of our stores. You must present your Love Rewards card when using your Love Rewards vouchers. We may request proof of identity. You cannot use Love Rewards vouchers to pay Beales Account card balances or purchase gift cards. Vouchers will be valid from their date of issue for a period of up to 8 weeks unless indicated otherwise.
5.1 LOST OR STOLEN CARDS OR VOUCHERS
If your Love Rewards card is lost, stolen or damaged, please notify a customer services representative in any participating store. We may, at our discretion, replace your card and transfer any points stored on it to a replacement card. Circumstances in which we may decide not to replace your card or transfer any points include those where we reasonably believe that the notified incident has been caused by a wilful breach of these terms and conditions or if there are reasonable grounds for us to suspect that you are or have been engaged in fraudulent or other unlawful conduct. We will not replace lost or stolen vouchers. We may give the appropriate authorities any information considered important or suspicious by us about the loss or theft of a card or voucher. If you subsequently find or retrieve your card that has previously been reported lost or stolen, you must notify us immediately.
6.0 HOW TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP
If at any time you wish to cancel your membership, please call 0113 201 8419. We require any request for cancellation to be made by writing to us at Beales Love Rewards, Customer Administration Department, DMB Group Limited, Suite 1, Crossgates House, Station Road, Leeds, LS15 8EU. If you choose to cancel your membership of the Club, you will lose any earned points that have not yet been converted to Love Rewards vouchers and these points cannot be reinstated in the future.
6.1 OUR CANCELLATION OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP
We may withdraw or cancel your membership at any time where we have reasonable grounds to believe that you
• have supplied misleading or inaccurate information as part of your application or participation of Love Rewards
• have misused or attempted to misuse your membership of Love Rewards
• are in breach of these terms and conditions and/or any additional terms applying to promotions or offers
• have behaved or threatened to behave in a way that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour.
If we withdraw or cancel your membership:
• your card will be immediately cancelled
• any points that you have earned will be forfeited.
7.0 CLOSURE OF CLUB OR ACCOUNT
We may choose to close Love Rewards at any time. If we do so, we will notify you and provide Love Rewards vouchers for points earned at the time of Love Rewards closure (in line with section 4 above) within 8 weeks of its closure. If there is no activity on your account for more than 2 years, we may close your account, and any associated partner cards and any points that you have earned will be forfeited.
8.0 DATA PROTECTION: WHAT WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT
We will collect and store the information that you supply to us on application to Love Rewards e.g. name and address, together with any information relating to your transactions, purchases and participation in Love Rewards. We will also collect and store the same information in relation to any Partner Cards attached to your accountFor the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, J E Beale plc is the data controller of the information that we collect about you. We will use your information to:
• Administer your application to and participation in Love Rewards
• Issue your Love Rewards vouchers
• Provide the products and services you request
• Improve the quality of our products and services to you.
If you have so requested we will also use your information to send you details of special events, promotions and offers that we believe will interest you.
8.1 OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We take our responsibilities for data protection seriously. Our policy on data protection is as follows:
1. All information provided will be held and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 for the purposes set out above. We will never sell your details to third parties. However, we may disclose details to third parties to whom we enter discussions in relation to a merger, sale or takeover of all or part of our business.
2. As an individual, you have certain rights in relation to the information we hold about you. In particular, you can obtain a copy of this information. To do this, and to enquire about other matters concerning data protection, please write to The Secretary, JE Beale plc, The Granville Chambers, 21 Richmond Hill, Bournemouth, BH2 6BJ.
3. You can obtain more information on data protection matters from the Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF (01625)545745. Please note that we will disclose personal information to fraud prevention and other agencies to help prevent crime or where we suspect fraud . We may also disclose it where permitted to do so under the Data Protection Act 1998 or are required to do so by law.
8.2 CONTACTING US ABOUT YOUR REWARDS ACCOUNT
We will accept instructions and queries from you by letter, email or telephone. Correspondence should be signed by the member (or with someone with the legal power to act on their behalf). Personal account information such as name, addresses or account balances will not be divulged during a telephone conversation unless the member can adequately prove that the account belongs to them. If you ask us to give details to someone else or agree we can give them to someone else we will require you to confirm this in writing to us at the address set out above. Your email address should be registered to your Love Rewards account.
8.3 PASSWORD AND ONLINE SECURITY
To ensure that your Love Rewards account is kept secure online, please ensure that passwords and login details are kept safe and not available to anyone else to access your account. You are responsible for all activity using those passwords and login details. We will never ask you for your password, or have access to your password. If you believe that someone else has gained access to your account, password and/or login details you must contact us immediately.
Any complaints about Love Rewards should be sent in writing to Beales Love Rewards, Customer Administration Department, DMB Group Limited, Suite 1, Crossgates House, Station Road, Leeds, LS15 8EU or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org including full details of the circumstances that you are complaining about. We take complaints seriously and will do all we can to resolve any genuine complaints as quickly as possible.
We reserve the right to amend or waive any provision of these terms and conditions from time to time and at any time – where the change is material we will notify you reasonably in advance of the change coming into effect. The terms and conditions applying to your membership of Love Rewards will at any time be the terms and conditions published on our website, and your continued use of Love Rewards will constitute your acceptance of such amended terms and conditions.
10.1 We may transfer the benefit of these terms and conditions to any other company in the same group of companies as us. If we do transfer them, your rights will not be affected.
10.2 These terms and conditions may not be enforced by any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, but this shall not affect any right or remedy that a third party may have apart from that Act.
10.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law.

Active Beales Love Rewards Vouchers
Love Rewards voucher issued 18th September 2017 valid until 1st November 2017
The value of the voucher represents all points earned during the period 31st January 2017 to 31st July 2017 in addition to active points carried over from a preceding voucher period. Points are converted at the rate of 1p per point and rounded down to the nearest £1. The voucher must be presented with the Love Rewards card identified on the face of the voucher on or before 1st November 2017. The voucher may only be used once and must be handed in on redemption. The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with other selected offers, multiple vouchers will only be accepted at Beales discretion, check in-store before using your voucher. Only the original voucher can be accepted. Photocopied, defaced or forged vouchers will not be accepted. This voucher cannot be used in respect of purchases in hairdressing, Nisa, Post Office, Fred Olsen and selected services. For full details of excluded items please ask in-store before using your voucher. You will earn Love Rewards points on the full transaction value when you use your voucher in-line with standard scheme rules. If you use your voucher to purchase goods that are of a lower value than the voucher you will not receive any change. There is no minimum purchase value. If you return goods purchased using your voucher and you produce a valid receipt you can request a replacement voucher that will be valid until 1st November 2017. The voucher can be used in any Beales store but is not valid for online purchases.

The voucher must be presented with the Love Rewards card identified on the face of the voucher. The voucher may be used twice and is valid on or before 1st November 2017. The voucher must be handed in after the second use. The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with other selected offers, multiple vouchers will only be accepted at Beales discretion, check in-store before using your voucher. Only the original voucher can be accepted. Photocopied, defaced or forged vouchers will not be accepted. This voucher cannot be used in respect of purchases in hairdressing, Nisa, Post Office, Fred Olsen and selected services. For full details of excluded items please ask in-store before using your voucher. Triple points will be awarded within 2 weeks of the closure of offer on 1st November 2017. For purchases of £29.99 or less 3 points will be awarded per pound spent, for purchases of £30.00 or more 6 points will be awarded per pound spent.
Coffee card issued 18th September 2017 valid until 1st November 2017
The card must be presented with Love Rewards card identified on the face of the card. The card may be used to claim a maximum of 6 small hot drinks at participating Beales own brand restaurants, it is not valid in selected concessions, please check in-store. The card is only valid At Beales Hexham, Keighley, St Neots, Wisbech, Lowestoft, Worthing, Bedford, Yeovil, Poole, Tonbridge, Beccles, Bournemouth and Peterborough restaurant. The card can only be used once per day and can be used to claim a maximum of 2 small hot drinks per visit. To claim 50 bonus points the card must be handed in with 6 valid stamps after 6 uses, each stamp represents 1 Free small hot drink, 50 bonus points will be awarded within 2 weeks of the closure of offer on 1st November 2017 . Not valid with any other promotions.
